Our Events

“Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.”
John Muir

Join us in the woods in Scotland - either in person or remotely in an online experience.  Most of our events take place near Edinburgh, in the Lothians and central Scotland as well as Perthshire.   For an online event, you walk in your local green space, woodland or the comfort of your home.

Gift yourself space to connect and thrive, to boost your wellness from the comfort of your local greenspace or home.  Remotely guided walks usually last 90 minutes, with the start time stated in GMT - please check what the time will be where you will be walking, e.g. Time Buddy app.  If you'd like to suggest a differrent time or day to suite your time zone, please make contact.

Are you curious to find out more?  If so, we look forward to welcoming you to the woods soon.

Join us if you'd like to bathe in the atmosphere of nature and the trees - to awaken your senses, slow down and support your wellness.  During one of our WellBEing in the Woods experiences, you will be guided through a ‘Standard Sequence’ developed by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy.  A full forest bathing session ‘in person’ usually lasts around three hours, so let’s give ourselves some time for self-care, to connect with nature and ourselves, while breathing with the trees.  Each event is unique as we play with what is offered on the day.

We can welcome you to the woods in different ways and would love to have you join us sometime:

  • If you are in and around Edinburgh and the Lothians in Scotland, please join us in person in the woods around central Scotland.  Refreshments will be included.

  • For an online remotely-guided walk, as long as you are in an area with reasonable phone reception, we can walk and connect together virtually across the oceans and time zones. Your guide walks here in Scotland, and you walk wherever you are, outside or indoors.

  • Events can be one off or we can create a series, e.g. to cover the seasons or to deepen your practice.

  • We are happy to arrange walks for organisations or in other locations (additional costs may apply).  Please contact us.

  • If you are seeking a gift with a difference, why not offer a gift voucher?  Please make contact to discuss requirements.

If you are joining us from your home on a virtual online walk, we would suggest that you have a representation of nature with you during the session, such as a houseplant or a pet, as well as a view of the sky.

If you’re looking for a big hike or a natural history walk to identify plants and beasties, we suggest you look for another guide.

If you sign up for our newsletter, A Leaf in Time, you will be informed of future events and be able to follow some of our musings and WoW moments - Wonders on Wanders.
